Bill Rockefeller, Acting Executive Director, TROM

Effective immediately, Bill Rockefeller (Rocky) will serve as Acting Executive Director of TROM.  He will assume many of David's functions as we begin to search for an Interim Executive Director.

Bill Rockefeller (Rocky) has been associated with Texas Reach Out Ministries (TROM) for about 15 years and has served on the Board of Directors for over 6 of those years.  Rocky's wife Sue also volunteers with the ministry.  They have 4 children, and 2 granddaughters, and are both retired from IBM.  Rocky & Sue have especially enjoyed following their youngest son's golf career at the University of Texas at Dallas these past 4 years.  Rocky's career spanned a 40-year period.  The first 10 years were spent as a Biology and Chemistry teacher of middle & high school students in New York State.  With IBM, he spent the majority of his 30 years in engineering management assignments, including with the microprocessor development teams for the PS3 and XBOX360 chips.  Rocky is a member and a deacon at Austin Christian Fellowship Church (ACF).  He is very active in a leadership capacity with the ACF Men's & Small Group ministries, is a member of the ACF Missions Leadership Team, and volunteers with Mobile Loaves and Fishes.    Rocky strives to live by the Word of the Lord, and his life goal is to be remembered as a man of faith as described in James 2:17.

"TROM has been a huge blessing in my life and continually feeds my Spirit.  I know and love my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ deeper because of my time spent with the residents, the volunteers, and David and Margie Pena.  David will be greatly missed, but the Board of Directors are fully committed to support the ministry during this time of transition and uncertainty within the COVID pandemic environment.   We put our trust in God and are confident that we can sustain & grow the ministry."
